THE SADDEST MOMENT IN THE LIFE OF A PERSON (v 0.2)

November 11, 2011

It was saturday afternoon, they just had lunch together and out of a sudden Darwing, my cousin, asked for permission to go to the new soccer field behind the hill with his friends. Who are you going with? , my uncle Rene asked. The father of my friend Agusto is going to drive us in his truck! That’s not a truck, it is a lorry my aunt Amalia said, smiling. Darwing rushed to the corner, my uncle and aunt entered to their house and 10 minutes later somebody knocked the door desperately, there was and accident, the truck crashed and unluckily Darwing died. He was just 12 years old… after that my uncle and aunt never got over that terrible event in their lives.
Do you think that losing a son or a daughter can be the saddest event in the life of a person?

This usually happends among youngsters but adults sometimes split the bill. What about your experiences? what happens on your first dates? Where do you go? DATING, DATING, DATING, (V 0.2)

October 6, 2011

So many rules and pieces of advise had been said or given about this topic. Why is it so difficult to understand women? Why are men so careless about details and romance? I remember one of my dates, she was the perfect woman, so neat and beautiful, but she was scratching her hair the whole night! How embarrasing but she didnt even notice that detail. What about your dates? What about internet dating? Have you tried it already? Do you remember one date that went just terrible wrong? or the one that went so well that you always remember!

My wish List!

August 8, 2011

There are so many things that I would like to include in my wish list for the next year that I don’t know where to start. First of all, I wish I could be healthier next year, I have been sick many times this year. Second of all, I wish there weren’t so much traffic in my city. This year I have been late to work many times because of that. Then I wish there were better school and services for poor people in my country. I wish people were attentive to the global warming problem. Every body could contribute to fight this terrible problem, for example:Don’t litter!
And what about you? What is your wish list?

Handsome man & Pretty woman

August 8, 2011

What makes a man handsome? What makes a woman pretty?. There are many aspects to consider. First, there is our concepts of beauty and attractiveness. For me a woman is pretty when she is usually neat. a man can be handsome if he is always clean and tidy. Second, when you are always interested in your appearance. A handsome man is an elegant man. A pretty woman is someone who cares about her look, a nice make up, hair style, etc. What about you? What is your opinion?

MY WEEKEND ACTIVITIES

July 7, 2011

There are many things I usually do on the weekends but I always spend time with my family. On Saturdays I work in the mornings from 8.00 a.m. to noon. After that I have lunch with my family in a restaurant. In the afternoon My family and me go shopping for groceries at Tottus or Metro supermarket. In the evening We usually watch movies at home. I prefer science fiction movies but my kids like cartoons or comedies. After that I usually do the laundry and my wife checks the school homework.

Now Sunday is different because we usually sleep late. We wake up at about 9.00 a.m. and we go to Ventanilla to visit my kid’s grand parents. We have a big breakfast there. We spend time together and in the afternoon we visit my parents in Callao. We usually have a delicious lunch there. My father cooks on Sundays, he is a good cook. Later in the evening we come back home and we get ready for the next week. Sorry but I do’t really like Mondays!

and what about your weekend? What do you usually do on the weekend?

Do you believe in ghosts?

May 24, 2011

I do. Well this happened to me when i was 10 years old. I lived in Lima down town in an old house, on the second floor. My little brother Jorge who was about 5 years old in that time started crying at nights  and my my mom asked me to sleep with him on his bed. I did it  and then he  told me that he saw a man every night at by  the door of the bedroom and that he was very afraid of that. He described the man and I just listened to him, of course I didn’t believe him. That night at about 1.00 a.m. Jorge woke me up whispering on my ear: Ruben, Ruben, there he is! and then he covered his head with the blanket. I suddenly felt really cold but it  was February, then I looked up slowly and I SAW the shadow of a man looking at us. I didn’t see his face but I saw his body and his movements. I got really afraid and i covered my head with the blanket quickly. My brother and I were trembling then after some seconds it wasn’t cold anymore. Jorge told me: He is gone! I looked  up again and there was no body at the door. I hugged my little brother and then i called up my mom. They came and they turned on the lights. I told them what happened but of course they didn’t believe me.  After that night My brother and I slept together but with the lights on. Then y Mom brought a priest to bless the house. Some years later we knew that on the first floor of the house the previous owner committed suicide many years ago. After the blessing we never saw the man again.

My Favorite Restaurant

May 17, 2011

It is difficult to  choose my favorite restaurant in Lima. My family  and I usually go to “Beguis” chicken place. Their chicken is really juicy and crunchy. It is juicer than Pardo’s chicken. They serve a really delicious salad. I guess their salad dressing is the best but I think that the service at Pardo’s is better that the service at Beguis. The service at Pardo’s is faster.  As for sea food, my favorite sea food restaurants are “Señor Limon” and “Mi Barrunto”. At “Señor Limon” the premises are smaller  but  Mi Barrunto is bigger and more comfortable. They play trendier music; I really like Salsa music. The food at Señor limon is tastier than at Mi Barrunto but the servings are smaller. I really like  big servings. The only problem at Mi Barruntu is the location. It is in a more dangerous area. When it is about Jungle Food. The best place to eat this delicious kind of food is “San Roque” Market in Surco. The best “Tacacho con Cecina”, “Juanes” and “Inchicapi de gallina” are in this market. There are about 10 food stands. They re not really very comfortable but the food is tastier and cheaper than other Jungle Food restaurants in Lima. What about your favorite restaurants in Lima?
